What does "certified organic" mean?
In October 2002, National Organic Standards went into law in the US. These standards are the strictest labeling laws in the world. The USDA regulates them. Consumers are now assured that certified organic ingredients have no toxic and persistent pesticides, antibiotics, sewage sludge, irradiation or genetically modified ingredients used in any phase of its production, from farm to consumer when the word "organic" is used. All organic ingredients in MOP products have been certified as organic by accredited agents who verify that they meet these National Organic Standards. MOP keeps detailed records on all organic ingredients as specified by this law.
